I was so surprised about the movie named the beach. The movie was filmed at 2000. I am not interested in the movie since the movie was shown up. Until now, my friend, Anna, recommended the movie, I tried to watch the movie. After watching the movie, I felt it was truly a good movie. It contained many meanings, and I am glad that I watch the movie when I am at my age now. If I watched the movie at 2000, I probably felt it were bad movie.

The story talked that when the young guy named Richard traveled to Thailand, he met a person which told Richard there is a secret island. The island is like paradise. Then Richard got the map to the secret island, and he invited his friends who lived in the same hotel to come with him to the island. And the story begins……

Many people pursuit a paradise, but what is the paradise like?

When the three people came to the island, they thought it was a fantastic world. Some people cook, some people build, some people go fishing, and some people run errands. All of them live the home which they dreamed. But they cannot allow other people to come to the island, and they cannot leave here. Ironic saying, they do not use any rules to manage people like the real world, and the truth is they all were controlled by the rule.

Are everyone’s paradises are the same?

At first, Richard and his friends tried to fine the secret island because they were curious about the paradise. When they saw the beach, they felt it was beautiful. They were be a member of the community. After a while, they are used to the life here. But Richard’s friend asked Richard, “Are you happy?" The expression presents that they all lived the paradise which someone described, not they imagined. In the end of the movie, when people asked to leave the island, only the leader insisted to stay although she need to kill someone for staying. Here was her paradise, and meanwhile all people realized that it was not their paradise anymore.

Will we really want to live the paradise?

Although they tries to build the paradise, they still missed what they tasted in the real world. That is why they still play the game boy, want to eat chocolate, and any convenient things. Sometimes they want to live here just because they can do what they like. Although the island was a paradise, there is still a dark side in the island. Where the paradise is, there is also the hell. Maybe there is a hell, thus we tried to find the paradise.

I was shocked by the movie. By the way, the movie made me want to travel to Thailand.
