Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. It is located 5 miles (8.0 km) downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Page. Accessible via a ½-mile (0.8 km) hike from U.S. Route 89, it can be viewed from the steep cliff above.
The above information comes from Wikipedia. Actually last year I and my friend went to Great Canyon National Park and antelope canyon, but we didn't know the famous place is close to the antelope canyon. This year we already knew the information, so definitely we didn't miss the place. Although it is a beautiful place, I hardly said that it is a good idea to straightly visit here. There is not other places here for people to visit, and it is far away from west coast or east coast. So I am curious that where those people who visit the Horseshoe Bend want to go or come from.
By the way, at first I thought I could see the rocks were coverd with snow because it is winter, but it still like what it usually like. So shame it was.
